"I enjoyed all my professors," said Zimmer. "Mathematics Professor Sandra Poinsett's class was incredibly challenging and gave me weekly headaches but she was kind and encouraging, and wanted to see everyone in the class succeed. Mathematics Professor Susan Strickland had a clarity of instruction that I appreciated and she taught me to pay attention to detail. Communications Professor Sarah Merranko reaffirmed what I already knew on communication topics and I appreciated the way she handled controversy in a calm manner in classroom discussions." All the professors were well prepared and engaging, said Zimmer who was grateful that she was required to take general education classes in addition to those in her major. Zimmer earned an associate degree in Arts and Sciences: Mathematics/Physics.
