Recognized during the 57th spring commencement for receiving the honorary title of Professor Emeritus is Ronald G. Brown, former chair of the Communication, Arts and Humanities Division, faculty senate president and educator with 44 years of service to the college. CSM Trustee Chair noted, “Ron contributed in many ways to CSM and to the Southern Maryland community. He served as a mentor and a role model for both students and employees and is remembered for demonstrating a commitment to fairness, honesty, personal integrity and to the power of learning to change lives. His dedication to this institution is remarkable and we still often find him on campus supporting college events. We can think of no one who more fully represents the positive ideals of the faculty of the College of Southern Maryland.”
